Who writes MyPerfume.Beauty
Every guide on this site is written and edited by Danny, a fragrance enthusiast who has spent years exploring designer classics and niche perfume houses. You can read more on the About Us page or browse all articles by Danny. This is an independent editorial site. No perfume house owns it, funds it, or approves what gets published.
How we choose what to cover
Topics start with reader questions and search demand: the scents, notes and problems people actually want help with. For a roundup, the shortlist is built from the official note pyramids published by the brands, reputable retailer listings, ingredient sources such as IFRA, and a wide read of wearer reports. A perfume earns its place on scent quality, performance, value for money and availability, not on brand size or marketing spend.
How we judge a perfume
Each pick in a guide is assessed on the same points: the key notes and how they develop, the concentration, how long wearers typically report it lasting, how far it projects, who it suits, and who should skip it. Every pick also carries an honest downside. If a scent is a poor fit for some readers, the guide says so plainly.
About the numbers in our guides
Longevity and projection figures are the ranges wearers typically report, gathered across many reports rather than a single test. Skin chemistry, climate and spraying habits change results a lot, which is why our guides explain ranges instead of promising exact hours. We never present invented test results as measurements.
Dupes and inspired by alternatives
Some guides cover affordable alternatives inspired by famous scents. Every such pick is an unaffiliated product sold openly under its own brand name. We never recommend counterfeits, replicas or copies that imitate branding to deceive buyers, and we say clearly in those guides that the alternatives have no connection to the houses behind the originals.
Affiliate links and independence
Some links on this site may be affiliate links. If you buy through one, the site may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. Rankings and recommendations are decided before any link is added, and a commission never buys a place in a guide. Advertising on the site, including Google AdSense, is handled separately from editorial choices.
Health and safety notes
Fragrance content here is general information, not medical advice. If perfume irritates your skin, stop using it, and if a reaction is persistent or keeps recurring, please see a dermatologist. Our guide to perfume and skin reactions explains the common causes in plain language.
Corrections and updates
Guides are revisited when formulas change, products are discontinued, or readers spot an error. To report a mistake or suggest a correction, email usb2b4@gmail.com. Reader corrections genuinely shape updates, so please do write in.
